SWANA collective members Nyma Ardalan and Hamoud Salhi focus on the Nagorno-Karabakh war and its repercussions in the region. Nyma Ardalan was born in Sine Kurdistan and is a SWANA Region Radio collective member who was present at its founding in 2001 as Radio Intifada. He holds an M.S. in Engineering, Profession IT, and is a political and human rights activist.
Dr. Hamoud Salhi is a professor of Political Science at California State University-Dominguez Hills. Currently, he is the Associate Dean of International Education and Senior International Officer. Prior to joining Dominguez Hills, Dr. Salhi was a political analyst and Senior Writer for Gulf News, the leading English-language newspaper in the Arab World and was a columnist for Algerian newspapers El-Khabar and Ech-Chaab.
Mihran Toumajan is Western Region Director of Armenian Assembly of America. Since its establishment in 1972, the Armenian Assembly of America endeavors to promote public awareness of Armenian issues, encourage greater Armenian American participation in the American democratic process, and assist in humanitarian and development programs in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Republic of Artsakh), while strengthening the U.S.-Armenia and U.S.-Nagorno-Karabakh relationships.
